We still roast in Georgia, but about a year ago my wife and I packed up and moved to the Seattle area, which means we got to watch Jimothy-mania unfold in our own new backyard. When a short, round, gloriously unbothered raccoon shuffled across the internet this summer, the city adopted him on the spot, crowned him a sweet prince, and declared it a Hot Jimothy Summer. As newcomers still finding our footing here, watching Seattle rally around one scrappy little legend felt like the warmest kind of welcome. So we named a roast after him.
Jimothy Roast is a limited time bold dark roast from the volcanic highlands of Bajawa on the island of Flores, Indonesia. Grown in rich volcanic soil and certified USDA Organic and Fairtrade, it pours deep and smooth, with notes of baker's chocolate and a quiet hint of raspberry on the finish. It's the kind of cup made for a foggy Puget Sound morning, a Seahawks mug, and the low hum of something legendary passing through the neighborhood.
