The Condor is a single-origin coffee from the Sierra Nevada region of Colombia. This unique coffee is both organic and fair trade certified, making it an ethical and sustainable choice for coffee lovers.

Sourced from Finca Buena Vista, a family-run farm located in the village of Minca in Colombia, The Condor boasts a rich and complex flavor profile. The owners of Finca Buena Vista are passionate about cultivating high-quality, environmentally-friendly coffee beans. They use traditional methods to grow their coffee plants in shade, allowing them to mature slowly and develop a unique taste.

The Condor's well-balanced flavor profile features notes of cocoa, strawberry, cherry and hints of almond. Its light-medium roast brings out the coffee's natural sweetness and highlights its distinct flavor notes.

Here at Diving Moose Coffee, we are committed to not only providing you with delicious coffee but also supporting the farmers who grow it. By choosing The Condor, you are supporting ethical and sustainable coffee farming practices in Colombia.

About the Farm: Finca Buena Vista is owned by Eneil Bayona and is located in the village of Minca. Eneil loves to produce coffee; it’s been in his family as long as he can remember. It hasn’t always been easy though, as he’d gotten discouraged by low coffee prices. Since then, he’s worked hard to make sure his coffee is certified as Organic, which has gotten him a much higher premium that he uses to continually re-invest in production and improvement. Eneil is heavily involved in the region and works with neighboring producers to pilot new planting programs and test new varietals.

Frequently Asked Questions

When Will I Get My Coffee?

We roast in small batches Monday through Thursday and ship all weekdays. If you have ordered before 10am EDT, we usually ship the same day. Shipping times vary but you will get a tracking number to know when your order will arrive.

Where Do You Ship From?

Unless otherwise noted on the product page, our coffee is shipped right from our roasting facility in Thomasville, Georgia (near the Southern border of Georgia and Florida).

Do You Have Any Organic and Fairtrade Options?

Yes! Please see all of our certified Organic and Fairtrade roasts at this link.

Does Diving Moose Use Arabica Beans? What About Robusta Beans?

Currently all of our roasts use high quality 100% Arabica beans, single sourced from various countries. Robusta, while typically higher in caffeine, is a lower quality bean, affecting the taste of the roast. For this reason, we have not found a robusta option that we like.

Why roast to order? Doesn't most roasting companies do that?

Most of the coffee you might purchase today is from large companies who roast in large batches and ship out to warehouses, which then end up on grocery store shelves, with a 6 month expiration date! Coffee purchased off Amazon usually is approaching expiration because of sitting in a warehouse somewhere. Coffee loss of flavor is measured in days, not months, so that's why we small batch all of our roasts, providing an unmatched flavor and finish. You'll smell the difference when you open the bag!

Can't I purchase coffee off of Amazon for cheaper?

Yes, it might appear cheaper, however coffee purchased off Amazon is not specialty grade coffee, and is typically approaching expiration because of sitting in a warehouse somewhere for months at a time. We roast and ship within 48 hours of ordering to guarantee the freshest roast, boldest flavor, and smoothest taste.

How Should I Store My Coffee?

Air, light, heat and moisture kill your coffee. Pack it away in your cupboard or pantry, and your coffee is in great shape in the bag it came in, which has a one-way valve to release CO2 produced in the roasting process, but not let any air inside. Avoid transparent glass containers, and please don't store your coffee in the freezer. That's just plain mean to your beans. :-)

Why Is Diving Moose Coffee More Expensive than Starbucks or my Grocery Store?

The big chains buy the cheapest beans possible, blend them together, and (in our opinion) over-roast them to keep their volume consistent. This typically results in a "burnt", dried out, acidic flavor.

We use the highest quality specialty grade Arabica beans, single sourced from select countries. We use these single origin beans to make our blends. This results in better quality flavors without the need to over roast the beans. We roast all of our beans in small batches for an unmatched taste and finish. You'll smell the difference when you open the bag!
